Vikings Take Sting out of Springfield Yellowjackets

What a season opening big win the Vikings had on Saturday!! It was scorching hot out, but that didn't deter those Vikings from pounding the Yellowjackets into the ground. The Vikings started strong and ended early with a final score of 40-6.

Team captains were Josh Latham, Gunnar Pfeffer and James Whitby. Vikings lost the coin toss and Springfield opted to receive.

Jamboree (and first win) is in the books.

Mark up a large "W" for the Joelton Vikings today in the jamboree against White House East.

Weigh-in started at 5:00 pm and several boys who had been working hard for a week or so "made weight" and were very happy. Congratulations to all of you who worked SO hard to make this goal.

These two teams have had serious rivalries for years and today was no different. Each team wanted to win it, but the Vikings came out on top with a 12-6 victory.

Jamboree - Saturday

Just a reminder that the Vikings will play White House East on Saturday in the opening Jamboree. It will be held at Pleasant View. We are to be there NO LATER than 4:30, with weigh-in following and the game at 6:00.
